About Puppy School Oxford City
From a young age, I knew I wanted to help pets and the people who love them. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2003 after completing my BSc in Veterinary Nursing, and I still work in practice today. My passion for behaviour led me to continue studying, and in 2012 I achieved a Master’s Degree in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling (Merit) from the University of Southampton. Since then, I’ve supported families through dog and cat behaviour consultations in Oxford via my practice, Talking Pet Behaviour
Wanting to give puppies the very best start, I trained with Puppy School and became a fully qualified tutor in 2023. I now run Puppy School Oxford City — positive, fun, welfare-centred classes designed to build confidence and strengthen the bond between puppies and their guardians.

“We did Puppy School at Cutteslowe Community Centre. It’s a good location with a park opposite, which is great to take your puppy to decompress before classes start. We only had four puppies in our class which was great. Four was brilliant! Everyone had their own little safe space. Clare was a very good teacher...she gave very clear instructions and used the puppies to demo the training requirement...Every puppy worked at their own pace, so although they were all at different stages of their training, no one felt left out. My GSD puppy thoroughly enjoyed all the classes and we really looked forward to the next one. “Clare was very clear with all the instructions, and was happy to repeat things when Bailey and I did not understand them the first time. Clare always greeted us on arrival, and offered assistance when Bailey wouldn't settle. The training was very helpful and gave me confidence that I was doing the correct thing.
